Installing Certificates into a Browser
These instructions will help you install certificates into a browser.
Mozilla Firefox 2.x
If you work with Mozilla Firefox of version 2, you have only to confirm saving a certificate as trusted when logging in for the first time. When logging in for the first time, the following dialogue box will appear:
Select the
Accept this certificate permanently option and press the
OK button.
Mozilla Firefox 3.x and higher
If you work with Mozilla Firefox of version 3, it is necessary to add the certificate to the trusted manually. Click on this link to
download the certificate.
The following dialog box will appear:
Select the
Recognize this CA for the identification of servers,
Recognize this CA for the identification of mail users and
Recognize this CA for the identification of software producers options and press the
OK button.
Internet Explorer
In the case of Microsoft Internet Explorer, the installation is more complicated. Click on this link to
download the certificate.
The following dialog box will appear:
Click on the
Open button.
For Windows Vista operating systems, the following dialog box will appear (for older operating systems, this step is skipped):
Click on the
Allow button.
The browser will download the certificate and display this dialog box:
Press the
Install certificate... button.
The Wizard will start in the following dialogue box. Continue by pressing the
Next > button.
This dialog box will appear:
Select the
Place all certificates into the following store option, press the
Browse... button and select the
Trusted root certification authorities. Continue by pressing the
Next > button and confirm the import by pressing the
Complete button.
Before completion, the Wizard will ask you to confirm the following dialog box:
Confirm the dialog by pressing the
Yes button. The certificate is now treated as trusted and can be authorized by means of the USB key.
